Auktion: Bonhams, Goodwood 2011, verkauft für 353’500 Pfund, mit diesen Informationen: «Manufactured in 1990, this particular F40 has sliding windows, the rarest option of them all and certainly the most desirable. In March 1991 the Ferrari was sold to Ligure Leasing SPA of Savona, Italy and in May the following year was purchased by a collector in the Netherlands and serviced by the Dutch importer Kroymans that same month (at 2,676 kilometres). The car was used sparingly until 1994 when it was put into storage, and remained there until its acquisition by the previous owner in 2008, at which time the odometer reading stood at 9,600 kilometres. A major service and overhaul was then carried out by Forza Service in Holland. In April 2010 (at 10,685 kilometres) the F40 was sent to respected marque specialists DK Engineering for another major service plus replacement of the fuel cells and skimming of the front brake discs. The much desired Ferrari Classiche certification was obtained and the car also comes with DK Engineering’s detailed condition report. The latter concludes that this F40 is fine example of a low mileage car with no signs of accident damage, very little wear or corrosion throughout and totally standard, with only some relatively minor cosmetic refurbishment required, which has since been carried out to make the exceptional car seen today.»
