Auktion: RM Sotheby’s, London 2016, Schätzpreis 1’000’000 bis 1’200’000 Dollar, nicht verkauft. Und dann wieder RM Sotheby’s, Arizona 2023, zugeschlagen für 962’000 Dollar, angeboten mit folgendem Text: «Offered here is a fine example of a 964-chassis Turbo S Lightweight that was delivered new to Porsche’s Japanese distributor, MIZWA Limited in Tokyo, and thence to its first owner. As such, this car wears various Japanese-mandated safety and emissions labeling. The car was imported to the United States by a prominent American collector in early 2015 under a US Environmental Protection Agency/Department of Transportation „Show and Display“ license granted the same year. The car retains its factory air-conditioning system along with electric windows, which were standard 964 fare. Reverting to manual window winders would have forced Porsche to re-certify the model. Delivered from the factory in Speed Yellow (12G), this Lightweight features a black and gray interior with a black headliner and a full Matter integrated roll cage.»

Motoren-Nummer: 61N01590
Auktion: Bonhams, Paris 2023, zugeschlagen für 1’035’000 Euro, angeboten mit folgendem Text: «Never restored, this pristine and unmolsted 1993-model of one of the rarest and most collectible members of the Porsche 911 family was ordered in September 1992 and delivered new in December 1992 in Stuttgart, Germany. A resident of Munich, the first owner enjoyed the car up to 2000. The options list confirms the all-important Leichtbau specification, while the owner also ordered a Blaupunkt radio to be fitted as a special option (see correspondence with Porsche on file). The first owner had the car serviced regularly by the official dealer, Porsche Centre Munich: February 1994 at 3,124km; March 1995 at 5,151km; January 1996 at 6,250km; May 1997 at 7,520km; February 1998 at 11,252km; March 1999 at 14,670km, March 2000 at 17,660km. In 2001 the Turbo S Leichtbau moved to Belgium where it was owned by a Mrs Pauwels and serviced by RS Motors at 20,616 kilometres. The car stayed in Belgium up to 2007 when it moved back to its birthplace in Stuttgart, Germany with only 27,261 kilometres on the odometer. It was bought by the current owner, a private Porsche collector, in 2017 and the current odometer reading is just over 28,000 kilometres. As one would expect, the car is in immaculate condition throughout, commensurate with its sparing use. Indeed, the seats hardly show any wear and the colourful interior really screams 1990s Porsche».

Auktion: RM Sotheby’s, Monterey 2024, Schätzpreis 900’000 bis 1’200’000 Dollar, mit folgenden Informationen: «Specified in right-hand drive for the South African market, this Turbo S Lightweight was completed in November 1992 and was finished in Grand Prix White. Importantly, the car was configured with air conditioning added back in. Despite being built for the South African market, the car was shipped to a significant supercar collector located in Asia, where it remained in storage as part of his immense collection. During this time, the car was very rarely driven, and as of today it has covered just 130 kilometers (~81 miles) from new. As a result of the humid climate from where it resided, the car’s original paintwork had begun to microblister, and it was decided that the car would be fully repainted to bring it back to its former glory. Upon arriving in the United States in 2023, the car was entrusted to a marque specialist in Southern California where it was stripped down and repainted in its original Grand Prix White. Following the repaint, the car was fully serviced and fitted with new tires». Er wurde nicht verkauft, deshalb kommt er jetzt schon wieder: RM Sotheby’s, London 2024, Schätzpreis 700’000 bis 900’000 Pfund.
