Dispatched to Spanish dealer Vela Murillo, it was registered in Tenerife to businessman Santiago Puig later that month, enjoying a glamorous early life in the Canary Islands. Early in its life, its original Rosso Corsa finish faded significantly under the intense sun of the Canaries, prompting Puig to refinish the Miura in a lighter yellow more suitable for the climate. In November 1980, the car passed to fellow Spaniard Manuel Jacinto Borges Belza, remaining in Spain before being removed from the road and later exported to Switzerland showing approximately 25,000 km at the time. Purchased in 1998 by a Swiss caretaker, the car was subjected to a comprehensive restoration carried out between 2006 and 2011 and recorded in an extensive file of photographs and invoices. During the mechanical work by Graber Sportgarage AG, the original engine, serial number 30600, was fully rebuilt and converted to SV-type split-sump lubrication—a desirable upgrade found only on the final 96 Miura SVs produced. This modification allows for the use of different types of oil for the engine and transaxle, alleviating oil starvation under hard cornering while significantly improving reliability. Furthermore, the Miura was treated to a major service amounting to over CHF 15’000 in 2025 and is now presented in period-correct Giallo Miura over Nero leather with 38,500 km—believed to be original—at the time of cataloging, with just over 2,000 km traveled since restoration.»
