Toy for 7 million euros
We’re not quite sure yet whether the Italian 777 Hypercar, which was presented today in Monza, will be allowed on the road. Probably not. But even if it at least partially complies with the new FIA hypercar regulations, it will probably not be allowed to compete in the new racing series, because its engine is too good and it is also too light. And so the question remains, who wants to pay seven million euros for what is certainly a fascinating piece of technology, but which can probably only be driven on track days – and has no famous name.

But that is relative. Dallara, the great masters in carbon and aerodynamics and chassis, is on board – which is probably why the 777 Hypercar weighs only 900 kilos. And it achieves a downforce of 2.1 tonnes along with a top speed of 370 km/h. And then there are the engine builders from Gibson, who contribute a free-suctioning 4.5-litre V8 that produces 730 hp at 9000 rpm. Which, by the way, runs on synthetic fuel.

There are to be seven of the 777 Hypercar, which, as mentioned, costs seven million, and the first examples are to be delivered in 2025. We are curious to see how it will look in three years.
