What do you do when soap isn’t selling well? We’re not experts on soap operas, but a stronger scent might just do the trick. That’s precisely Stuttgart’s approach with the new Mercedes EQS. Sales aren’t as brisk as anticipated, prompting the introduction of an additional “fragrance cushion.” These are available on Wish.com for 0.79 euros each when purchased in a maxi six-pack. This aligns well with the brand; in southern countries, it’s common to see taxis with high mileage adorned with similar embellishments, including a bobblehead Buddha and hand-painted football pennants. You might even spot towel-covered headrests, handcrafted by mothers from old bath towels, adding a touch of Economy Plus to the new Mercedes EQS.
Incense sticks could be next. The scent? Perhaps something like a “Turkish delight box.” But what’s already on offer is a 2-euro footrest where the rear passenger can rest their vegan suede loafers—a solution so cost-effective, not even Dacia would attempt it. However, Mercedes must now pinch pennies; they’ve upgraded the new Mercedes EQS with a larger battery at the same price, limiting enhancements elsewhere. Yet, the newly available executive seats are likely to command a hefty premium. This ensures that shareholders, at least those who can afford it, can rest easy once again.
And importantly, the star no longer dangles (in the now-unnecessary radiator grille) but stands proud and upright. Interpret that as you will. We have more exciting vehicles in our archive.
