Price development
It is still exciting to look at the price development of BMW M1s, even for those vehicles for which a decent premium was paid at auction. This particular car, #1171, was still available for just over €80,000 18 years ago. Unfortunately, the information and pictures of this M1 are a bit sparse, but that was the case back then; it only became really professionalised in the 2010s. But it’s still interesting.

Auction: Bonhams, Monaco 2006, sold for 81’650 Euro (!), with these informations: «Finished in black with matching leather interior, this left-hand drive M1 is offered with BMW Frankfurt service invoices (1994 and 1986) and German Fahrzeugbrief. We are advised that the engine is in running condition.»
There is a nice story about the BMW M1 here, the creation, but also a road test and a collection. We will now ‘relax’ a little, the collection will be separated and rebuilt. But take it easy. We have more exciting cars in our archive.
