Auktion: Collecting Cars, Dezember 2024, mit diesen Informationen: «This Ferrari 250 GT/L ‘Lusso’ Berlinetta is an exceptionally rare and sought-after sporting grand tourer; one of just 22 UK-delivered right-hand-drive cars. It is offered from long-term ownership of 33 years, and has also been certified by Ferrari Classiche. The engine is the matching-numbers 3.0-litre ‘Colombo V12, fed by triple Weber carburettors and producing up to 240bhp, coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. It boasts intriguing early history, having been delivered as a brand-new car via Maranello Concessionaires to prolific racer and hill climber Phil Scragg, who selected the ‘PS 1216’ registration that the car still wears today. Scragg owned numerous desirable sports cars during his life, including a Ferrari 275 GTB/4, 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’, Aston Martin DB4 GT, Jaguar E-Type Lightweight, SS100, and an XKSS. Subsequent owners included various members of the Ferrari Owners’ Club; Mr Richard Bond (one of the directors of Modena Engineering in Surrey), Mr J.T. Panks of Oxfordshire, and Mr. R.A. Parker of Warwickshire. The car was acquired by its current owner in 1991, and immediately prior to this it was owned by their friend and fellow racing driver, Mr W. Tuckett from 1984 to 1991. The odometer shows 50,593 miles, which is believed to be the genuine total from new. This 250 GT ‘Lusso’ originally left the factory finished in a dark blue hue from the Italver paint range, with colour code 19391 M. A particularly rare colour, it is believed to have been applied to just seven UK-delivered Ferraris, only two of which were Lussos. It was also trimmed in Grigio leather from Connolly, making it a unique specification among right-hand-drive examples. It is believed to have had the colour change to Rosso Chiaro early in its life, along with the swap to Nero leather upholstery at a similar time.»
