Lamborghini Miura P400 – #3057

Close by

It is very rare to find a Miura that has not been tinkered with over the years. This Lamborghini Miura P400 with the chassis number 3057, a very early example, was purchased by the American Ben Johnson in Italy in the summer of 1967. Shortly after his return, the owner passed away and the vehicle was left gathering dust in a museum. When it was awakened from hibernation by its new owner in 1978, only 2464 miles were on the clock. And for a long, long time, this Miura was allowed to remain as it had originally been delivered; it was only in 1995 that it was converted to dry sump lubrication (it is not known when it was repainted – see also below).
