Attention
After the Maserati Ghibli Spyder – #1185 attracted a lot of attention last week, we naturally want to capitalise on this by bringing another open-top Italian car, this time it is chassis number #1079. And because it is now yellow, it should be even more of an eye-catcher. This was probably also the wish of the first buyer, a Roman pilot, to whom the Ghibli was sold in mid-1970, including the extras of a Blaupunkt radio, air conditioning and power steering. By the mid-1970s, however, the Spyder was in the USA, and later came to Canada, where it was restored and fitted with Borrani rims, which suit it well. It later found its way into a well-known German collection, which now wants to get rid of it again via RM Sotheby’s in Miami in 2025; at least $600,000 is expected.

More of the Maserati Ghibili Spyder can be found here. Otherwise, there is also the archive.
