New Arrivals April 2026

Shooting/Cake

Porsche 911 GT3 S/C
Porsche has been teasing us over the last few days with a covered-up 911. On 14 April (not the 1st, mind you), it was finally unveiled – and yes, at last another brilliant new model from Stuttgart: the long-awaited, albeit unfortunately four-door, Shooting Cake (S/C). Porsche isn’t ready to show us the production version just yet; there are only teasers so far (see above), but what we can see gives us hope.

Ok, another attempt: Porsche 911 GT3 S/C

So, an open-top GT3 now. With the S/C designation, which was once reserved for entry-level models; with a base price of 269,000 euros (which, at the current exchange rate in Switzerland, comes to 303,800 francs), this borders gently – but really only gently – on irony (the Swiss price is way beyond, er, whatever…). This convertible was to be expected; the marketing department hasn’t come up with anything much smarter for quite some time. But: S/T and Speedster buyers once paid a hefty premium for limited-edition and exorbitantly expensive add-ons, which are now standard on the ‘entry-level model’ (since the S/C is, after all, produced in unlimited numbers). One or two buyers might well be wondering, er, high-end surcharge? From tomorrow, collector’s prices for the S/T and Speedster with warranty are set to plummet – which is unlikely to please the loyal clientele. But as the saying goes: Why should I care about what I said yesterday? And since the 911R and the subsequent GT3 Touring, which costs only half as much, one should know which way the wind is blowing. In this case, definitely towards an open-top GT3 RS with a ‘french fry counter’, priced at 329,000 euros (599,000 swiss francs)…

We have more new releases in the archive.
