The editorial team is lean, at least organizationally: Peter Ruch and the notably leaner Fabian Mechtel. We’re also supported by the finest freelance writers we can afford; usually, compensation involves just drinks, good conversation, and decent food. While we do have a phone, we believe the internet provides sufficient interactivity. We’re also environmentally conscious, avoiding any potential waste paper from newspapers or magazines. We don’t use a (functioning) printer, fax, or photocopier and maintain a minimal electronic footprint with just a few laptops and iMacs from Apple, a Sony camera, a coffee machine (and no tea maker), a router, and about ten hard drives for data backup. Books, however, are abundant—we always want more and enjoy them immensely.

Our modest office space suits our small team. You won’t find a secretary here who spends all day surfing the web; everything that comes out of our office is 100% Swiss made, without exception.

We weren’t always office-bound. Over the past three decades, we’ve honed our skills with numerous prestigious publications. We’re not pale, shriveled-up tech hermits; we have a robust passion for both the automotive world and the internet. We strongly oppose the concept of autonomous driving, are skeptical about the dominance of electric vehicles, but we have an enduring love for classic cars.
