The very last 333 examples
It’s still coming to the swan song: The Germans are building 333 last examples of the Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD. The connoisseur can already tell: rear-wheel drive only. The fabulous naturally aspirated engine has been upgraded one last time and now produces 620 hp. With this power, the Audi races from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. And in 10.1 seconds to 200. The top speed is only reached at 320 km/h. The maximum torque of 565 Nm, which is available between 6400 and 7000 rpm, is also impressive.
The transmission is a further developed 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A completely new feature is a special driving mode called “Torque Rear”, which allows for very cultivated drifting angles. Or, depending on the setting, wild drifting on the closed-off track. With targeted measures, the weight of the Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD has been reduced to 1570 kilos. The standard 20-inch wheels contribute a lot to this. But also the ceramic brake system. A coilover suspension is also available as an option.
The fast Audi can be recognised by the “R8 GT” lettering at the rear. In addition, there are various carbon add-on parts. The most striking is certainly the rear wing with gooseneck suspension. The sports car is only available in grey or red. The Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD will be available at dealers in early 2023 at a price starting at 225’000 Euro (229,600 Swiss francs). How many of the 333 examples will come to Switzerland has not yet been decided. But if you want one, you’ll have to hurry.
