Now it’s getting crazy
The hype surrounding the Ruf Porsches has not been around for long. For many years, these ‘pimped’ Porsche 911s even offered a really good price-performance ratio as used cars – ten years ago, the true Ruf legend, the CTR ‘Yellowbird’, was still available for 250,000 euros. But that was then. And now it’s getting really crazy: Gooding & Co. expects at least $6 million for one of the 29 original CTRs.

It’s an impressive vehicle, chassis number W09BT0343KPR06026, a ‘lightweight’ (of which there were apparently only six) with a six-speed transmission (of which there were apparently only four), of course in flower money (code 139, nine of the ‘Yellowbirds’ were painted this colour in Pfaffenhausen), just 1673 kilometres, only two previous owners, with the first buyer having stored the vehicle in a nice air-conditioned environment for three decades. But at least six million? That is three times more than the previous most expensive Ruf.

By the way: It sold for 6’055’000 dollars. More nice cars: here.
