Ferrari F40 – #74049

Enzo’s F40

VIN: 74049
Engine: –

Auction: RM Sotheby’s, Maranello 2007, estimate 500’000 to 600’000 Euro, not sold. This is one of eight prototypes assembled in 1987. #74049 was on display at the Ferrari stand at the Paris Motor Show in October 1987. This vehicle still has a rather different cooling system, as well as lighter body parts. After its promotional tour, the car was treated as one of Enzo Ferrari’s personal vehicles in Maranello. After his death on 22 August 1988, it returned to the ownership of Ferrari SpA; Luca de Montezemolo later gave the car to the pasta manufacturer Buitoni.

A collection of Ferrari F40 you can find: here (just in German, sorry, English still work in progress).
