Sold through Collecting Cars in October 2023 for £1,701,000, with the following description: «This Ferrari F40 is a well-preserved example of the iconic supercar from the Enzo era and is familiar to many British enthusiasts, having been tested several times in Evo magazine. Originally delivered to Austria, it was subsequently imported to the UK and registered with the DVLA in December 1996. It has had only two British owners, with the current owner having kept the car for 18 years. The chassis numbers are reported to match and it comes with a detailed service history file. In 2008, the engine was overhauled at the Ferrari factory in the Classiche department, and the fuel tanks were also replaced during this visit. The odometer shows 28,783 kilometres. The rear plexiglass cover has been converted into a three-part blind element based on an original design by Nick Mason, which gives the driver a better view in the rear-view mirrors. It has also been fitted with a non-standard exhaust. The car comes with the original warranty and service book, original Schedoni luggage, a tool kit and a comprehensive history file.»
