Double victory for Gazoo Racing
After Toyota had already dominated the 2023 Dakar with three cars in the top four positions and the overall victory of Nasser At-Attiyah, the Japanese struck in similar form at the Rally Monte Carlo. In the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid, Sébastien Ogier/Vincent Landais won ahead of reigning world champions Rovenperä/Halttunen, with Evans/Martin coming fourth. For Ogier it was the 56th victory in a WRC round (only Super-Séb Loeb is further ahead with their 80) – and the 9th victory at the Monte (there he now has the nose in front of his eternal rival).
