Ford vs. Ferrari?
Something is going on in Formula 1. Well, at first nothing was going on, Porsche wanted to, but Red Bull didn’t want it the way Porsche envisioned. There was a divorce before the engagement was announced. But because Red Bull is the reigning world champion and can bring in a bit of its own resources, the team around Max Verstappen is a highly desirable bride. At the moment it looks as if Ford is asking for their hand in marriage. That makes little sense at the moment, the Americans have nothing to offer technologically that could interest Red Bull. But they have probably freed up budget – probably also because the eternal competitor General Motors is also pushing into the highest motorsport league with Cadillac. And the idea of Ford competing against Ferrari again is not that uninteresting. Will Sauber be able to keep up with Audi? By the way, the car above is the new Haas VF23; Haas was the first team to present its car for the new season.
