73015 is the first of eight prototypes that Ferrari built of the F40 (seven of which were built in 1987) – and #73015 is the vehicle that Enzo Ferrari presented to the press on 21 July 1987. Most of the first pictures of the F40 were taken of this very car. #73015 was completely destroyed in a crash test. (The cover photo, it is said, is not believed to be from #73015, who is said to have been in Fiorano at the time of the press conference. We would be grateful for any further information.)
