Review
First of all, we would like to thank our readers for their active participation in last week’s survey – zero-theme on the front page or not. We had expected a few comments, thumbs up, thumbs down, but some people really took the time to write good analyses and reasons. We were pleased about that, and we want to thank them for it, as it is also an appreciation of our work. The result is also quite clear: everything on one page. That is exactly how we will do it. As an example, we would like to quote Dietmar L.: “Cars are cars and those who love them are just as interested in the promises of the future as in the achievements of the past”.
Whether the Mondial in Paris has a bright future as a car show, we don’t know either. But it was worth a try and a visit, we came to some exciting encounters and also saw some interesting novelties. And we had to get annoyed about the unbelievable arrogance of Mercedes. But first, read this to get in the mood:

We haven’t covered many of the novelties yet, hopefully we will. Because it is sometimes very difficult to get in touch with certain start-ups and also the young Chinese manufacturers for the “more” information that we would like to offer here. But we can already offer an exciting example:

And there were indeed important world premieres in Paris:

We already mentioned it: There were also good discussions in Paris. But you don’t chat with Stellantis’ CEO, he listens to a question – and from then on he dictates the conversation. But listening to him is definitely worthwhile, the Portuguese has a lot to say. And he analyses the current situation in the car industry probably better than anyone else.

Renault was by far the manufacturer that made the greatest effort to make an honourable appearance in Paris. And with the 4ever, it also had a remarkable world premiere to offer. This study is also the first Renault model to bear the unmistakable signature of the new chief designer Gilles Vidal. But we also talked to him about much more:

The second important topic of the week for us was AC Cars. We are going to compile a complete overview of the vehicles of the oldest English car brand still in existence, even though it certainly doesn’t have as many fans as Ferrari or Alfa Romeo. But there are a few fascinating cars, one of which everyone knows: the Cobra. Yes, we know that we are treading on thin ice, but that’s also fun. Let’s start with this:

Then we can offer an AC story that you, even as a connoisseur, have not yet read about in every journo: the MA-200 Prototype. Not only does it look good, it also provides us with some of the connections that make automotive history so multi-faceted.

And as a logical consequence, the background to the AC 427/428 Frua must also be presented. The spelling alone shows that we can go into a little more depth – and make a few circles:

And finally, we have something for the eyes. Of the Ferrari 250 GT LWB “Tour de France” there is a very nice, already very detailed collection on radical. But among these already rare models there are also five unicorns, those examples that were dressed at Zagato. That is definitely worth seeing:

All these stories are now also coming in German. We are still on Facebook. Stay tuned! www.radical-mag.com
