It left the Sant’Agata factory on 19 June 1967 and a period photo in the file shows the car in the factory yard probably when new. Selling new in Italy via Lamborcar Locatelli, the car then went to the US where it stayed with a small number of owners. In fact the car remained with one owner from 1979 until acquired a few years ago by the current owner, a prominent European collector through an important German dealer. He was amazed by its incredibly original condition with less than 31 000 kilometers on the clock which were probably the original mileage at the time. The engine had been overhauled by the American Lamborghini guru, Bob Wallace in 2001, and our collector decided to carry out a concours-standard restoration that would enable the car to appear at prestigious events worldwide and to be as close as possible to the original specification of the car. The bodywork was dismantled and prepared before being repainted to an extremely high standard. What makes this car so special is that along with its superbly restored body, it has retained its original interior, which gives it great charm. With its original engine and presented in its factory colours, this superb Miura, its restoration fully documented in a comprehensive file of photographs, will seduce enthusiasts with its transparent history and authentic original interior.»
