Die (damalige) Essenz

Mit dem Reventon beschritt Lamborghini ab 2007 neue Wege: Kleinstserien mit einem gewaltigen Aufpreis gegenüber den Basismodellen. Das hatte sofort Erfolg – und spülte den Italienern ohne grossen Aufwand richtig viel Geld in die Kasse.

So schreibt das Lamborghini im Jahr 2007: «Er ist ganz klar ein Lamborghini. Aber einer, wie es keinen jemals zuvor gab. Er ist ein Supersportwagen, jedoch ohne jeden Vergleich: Der Reventón ist ultimative Fahrmaschine und limitiertes Kunstwerk zugleich – mit einem konsequenten, kantigen und klaren Design, inspiriert von der modernsten Aeronautik. Bei insgesamt nur 20 Exemplaren und einem Preis von einer Million Euro (zuzüglich Mehrwertsteuer) bleibt jeder Reventón höchst exklusiv und nahezu ein Unikat. Zugleich bietet er eine überragende Performance, die ihn unvergleichlich macht. Denn unter seinem völlig eigenständigen Design besitzt der Reventón die volle technische und dynamische Kompetenz des Zwölfzylinder-Sportwagens von Lamborghini. Lamborghini ist der weltweit einzigartige Hersteller extremer und kompromissloser Supersportwagen. Jeder Lamborghini ist sinnlich und herausfordernd. Mit seinem Design bleibt Lamborghini der Zeit stets voraus. „Der Reventón aber ist der Extremste von allen, ein Superlativ auf Rädern. Auf der technischen Basis des Murciélago haben unsere Designer im Centro Stile Lamborghini die DNA der Marke, ihren genetischen Code, komprimiert und weiter verschärft“, sagt Stephan Winkelmann, der Präsident und CEO von Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.».

21 Stück entstanden, der damalige Preise lag bei 1,1 Millionen Euro. Für Vortrieb sorgte die Maschine aus dem Murcielago LP640, also 6,5 Liter Hubraum, 650 PS. Das muss natürlich eine Sammlung haben:

Auktion: RM Sotheby’s, Arizona 2017, verkauft für 1’320’000 Dollar, angeboten mit folgendem Text: «This Reventón is car number 3 of 20 and has less than 1,000 original miles. Its Canadian vehicle history report shows that it was first sold to an owner in Chesterfield, Missouri, but that it has been in Vancouver, Canada, since 2010. It has had four owners from new and was most recently serviced by Lamborghini Vancouver in June 2015».

Mr. Spangenburg only kept the car for a brief period, and it was subsequently acquired by the present owner. Today, it remains in virtually as-new condition and the odometer reads less than 900 miles since new. As a result, the Reventón shows very few signs of wear both inside and out. It is accompanied by its proper set of manuals with Reventón supplement, a copy of its window sticker, additional manuals, and a remote for the car’s Kenwood stereo».

Auktion: RM Sotheby’s, Monterey 2022, verkauft für 1’952’000 Dollar, angeboten mit folgendem Text: «The 12th of just 20 Reventón coupes produced, this raging bull has been meticulously cared for, with less than 900 miles on the odometer at cataloguing time. Created in Sant’Agata specifically for its first and only owner, the car was never in a showroom and was delivered directly to its current caretaker. It is said to have been shown at the 2008 Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance as well as the 2014 Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s in the Sports and Exotic Class. Accompanying the car are a canvas and leather Lamborghini Reventón branded shoulder bag designed to resemble a fighter pilot’s flight bag».

Auktion: RM Sotheby’s, München 2022, verkauft für 1’748’750 Euro, angeboten mit folgendem Text: «This particular car is numbered 13 of the 20 made and was delivered on 29 September 2008 via Lamborghini Chemnitz in Germany. It has been owned by the same individual since new as part of a collection, and is presented with just 106 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. The Reventón was serviced in 2008 and 2009 by the Lamborghini Centre in Chemnitz and in July 2022 by Lamborghini München».

Auktion: Bonhams, Bonmont 2024, Schätzpreis 1,4 bis 1,7 Millionen Franken, mit diesen Informationen: «In Grigio Reventón with a two-tone Nero Perseus and Verde Olivia interior, this extremely rare supercar, the 19th of 20 produced, was delivered new in Switzerland, to European specifications, by Lamborghini Affolter SA, Svizzera. It has since had only two owners and, with only 4,864 kilometres covered since leaving the factory, is in very good condition. It will be sold with its military bag, an original Lamborghini accessory numbered 19, and its Swiss registration document».

Ab 2009 gab es dann auch den Roadster, 15 Exemplare, mit dem Motor aus dem Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce, also 670 PS. Der Preis stieg entsprechend der grossen Nachfrage auf 2,1 Millionen Euro.

Auktion: Bonhams, Bonmont 2024, Schätzpreis 1,6 bis 2 Millionen Franken, mit diesen Informationen (ausnahmsweise einmal auf französisch): «De couleur Grigio Reventon spécifique avec intérieur noir, cette rarissime supercar a été vendue neuve en Suisse par Lamborghini Porrentruy et toujours entretenue chez eux. Ses entretiens ont été effectués en février 2011 à 2 028 km, en août 2012 à 2 371 km, en août 2013 à 3 187 km et en janvier 2018 à 3 778 km. Le propriétaire actuel qui est le second, l’a acquise en 2018». Und er kommt wieder, jetzt deutlich günstiger und mit englischen Infos: RM Sotheby’s, Mailand 2025, Schätzpreis 1,3 bis 1,6 Millionen Euro, mit diesen Informationen: «This example was delivered to its first owner in Switzerland on 6 July 2010 via Lamborghini Porrentruy. In keeping with the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor that shaped so much of the car’s styling, the Roadster was finished in the model-specific satin shade of Grigio Reventón over similarly stealthy Grey Alcantara trim. The interior is also notable for the trio of TFT liquid crystal screens that make up the instrument panel and mimic aircraft head-up displays. Stamps in the service book reflect that the Reventón Roadster returned to the Lamborghini Porrentruy dealership in August 2012 (2,371 kilometres), August 2013 (3,187 kilometres), and January 2018 (3,778 kilometres) for routine maintenance. Later in the year the car was acquired by the consigning owner, who registered it in their native Germany. Complemented by a military-style shoulder bag and Lamborghini ‘flight case’ housing the chassis-specific engine certificate, this Reventón Roadster displayed just 4,102 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing».

Auktion: Broad Arrow, Zürich 2025, Schätzpreis 1,35 bis 1,65 Millionen Franken, mit diesen Informationen: «One of just 15 Roadsters produced, it was factory-finished in Grigio Reventón: a light matte metallic silver visually distinct from the darker matte grey Grigio Barra color reserved for the Coupe, but retains the standard Reventón’s unique two-tone black and grey interior. Its striking silhouette is distinguished by subtle revisions unique to the Roadster, including a spoiler integrated between the rear fins with a central brake light and a near-horizontal engine cover—giving the Roadster a silhouette as striking as it is purposeful. Reinforced chassis components and deployable roll hoops that spring out in just a few hundred milliseconds in the event of a rollover reestablish structural integrity and safety to match the car’s open-air drama. Beneath its reshaped engine cover lies the uprated 6.45-liter V12 from the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, producing 670 PS and 660 Nm through a six-speed E-gear automatic transmission. This is sufficient to launch the car from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and on to a 330 km/h top speed, despite a 25-kilogram weight increase added by its safety systems. The car was sold new by Lamborghini Porrentury in Switzerland, where it was serviced by the dealership before being acquired in 2019 by its current caretaker. Remaining in storage at the dealership in Switzerland since purchase, it has been driven sparingly and shows just 2,423 kilometers at cataloging. A new battery has also been fitted».
