Dann: Steht bei RM Sotheby’s, Private Sales, zum Verkauf, Januar 2025, 550’000 Euro, mit diesen Angaben: «This 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS was originally built for the Belgium/Luxembourg market. The car left the factory as a M472 Touring Model in Signal Yellow 5252 with a Black Leatherette interior. Exactly as how it looks today. In 1982, the car was acquired by a Mr. Bataille from Hyères, a Mediterranean coastal town in the south of France. In 1983 the car was shipped from France to the United States of America. In September 1986, the car was traded by Thomas Slater to an Art Dealer in Santa Fe, Mr. Malcolm Grimmer, for an Indian Scout Jacket and a Pletka painting. According to some documentation in the car’s history file the car was very sound and damage free, „which is a bonus as many RS Carreras had been raced in Europe and were rusty“. When in the hands of Mr. Jon Bartell, the restoration started in 1987. The odometer reading was 60.021 kilometer at that moment. The engine was rebuilt by Farmer Automotive, Indianapolis. The chassis was stripped and repainted with the original Signal Yellow. All nuts and bolts were replaced with new factory parts. The car was put back together by Blackburn and Daly, Indianapolis. Services were done in September 1994 (63.690 kms), January 1997, April 1999 (65.972 kms), April 2000, May 2001, July 2003, November 2005, November 2007, October 2008 (67.800 kms) and June 2015. In August 2015, the car was purchased by the last custodian at auction during Pebble Beach Car Week – at that moment the car had driven 68.679 kms. The car was imported into The Netherlands and sparingly enjoyed. In 2024, the car participated in the Open Hainan tour and became probably the first Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS in China. The car arrived safely back in The Netherlands in the beginning of 2025 and was completely serviced again.»
